About Us

DRR is located between the beautiful Selkirk and Purcell Mountains in Bonners Ferry, Idaho just 12 miles north of town and about 20 miles south of the Canadian border.  We share a property line with the Kaniksu National Forest and have unlimited trails to explore.  Selkirk Mountain Mule Elk Ranch is across from us.

History

Dunn Right Ranch (DRR) was formally known as Natural Way Walkers. I grew up showing and endurance riding many different types Pleasure/Saddle breeds of horses and my main focus was the Versatility of the Tennessee walking horse. Chris is involved with Hunter/Draft type breeds of horses and the versatility of them.

We both grew up involved with canines and training them for our personal use. I have a long history in showing Akitas as a youth in my past.  I would always find myself at the conformation ring learning the breed standard qualities such as appearance, movement and temperament of the Great Dane.  In Jan 2004, I purchased my first black Great Dane that was Harlequin bred and was out of old Meistersinger bloodlines.

Mission

We take our breeding program very seriously and strive to ensure the health, soundness, safety and well-being of all of our pets that we produce.  In our Equines and Canines we follow the breed standards to produce correct structure, outstanding temperaments and longevity that will win in the show performance ring or perform on the trail as a lifelong partner.

Vision

Our main goal in our breeding program is to breed for ourselves first for the show ring in both our Canines and Equines. There is a lot of planning in research on pedigrees, structure, health, soundness, movement, color, temperament and longevity that goes into an excellent breeding.  Our puppies and/or foals are very limited each year, as we breed for Quality Not Quantity.
